I have been looking over the prices on some ebooks to buy on Amazon, going through their top 100 paid and to 100 free books, and I have to tell you, I am kind of torn over which set I like the most.
That might seem a surprising statement, what with the amount of great books you can buy but let’s look a little deeper into just what goodies you can get your mitts on for free.
For you Twilight loving vampire lovers out there, there is the granddaddy of all vampire stories, Bram Stokers’ Dracula. It is considered by many to be one of the best horror books ever written. Without it, there would be no Twilight, and you can get it without parting with a single penny.
Love detective stories? Then wrap your head around The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, a set of twelve stories that were first published in book form 4 years after Holmes first story “A Study in Scarlet” came out in 1887. So this is vintage Holmes at the peak of Sir Authur Conan Doyle’s powers. Jolly good.
If classic lit isn’t your cup of tea, how about fun little books like Incredible Sex: 52 Brilliant little Ideas or the historical fiction work Shadow of Death, or maybe the fantasy writing of Jason Tesar in The Awakened: Book One.
There is an absolute ton of fantastic reading material that you can get your hands on without spending a single penny. If you spent like crazy during the holiday season, are looking to save a buck or two, and are looking for an entertaining read, you can put down your credit cards and your wallet, and read a plethora of great writers for free.
